1. About ThinkOrSpend

ThinkOrSpend (also referred to as "DealBuddy", "we", "us") is a deal-discovery service. We collect publicly listed offers from retailers and other sources, organise them, and help you decide whether something is worth buying.

We are not a shop. We do not sell the products you see, we do not hold stock, and we are not party to any purchase you make. Every purchase is a transaction between you and the retailer, governed by that retailer's own terms.

By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are not, do not create an account.

You may close your account at any time from your settings. See section 7 for what happens to your data when you do.

3. Prices, availability, and accuracy

Prices, discounts, ratings, and availability shown on ThinkOrSpend are captured from third-party sources at a point in time. They change constantly and may be wrong, stale, or missing by the time you see them.

Always confirm the current price and terms on the retailer's own site before buying. We do not guarantee that any price, discount percentage, or "value" indicator shown here is accurate or currently available.

Our value indicators, rankings, and category labels are automated estimates offered to help you compare. They are opinions generated by software, not financial or purchasing advice.

4. How we make money

Some links on ThinkOrSpend are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not change the price you pay. Where a listing is monetised, that fact does not by itself determine its position in your results — see section 5 for what actually drives ranking.

5. Personalisation and relevance

ThinkOrSpend can order the deals you see based on how you use the site, so that items more likely to be relevant to you appear first. This is what we mean by "personalisation".

Where personalisation is active, the signals we may use are: items on your wishlist, deals you have reacted to with a thumbs up or thumbs down, deals you have clicked through to a retailer, and the categories you browse most. We combine these with the deal's own attributes — such as price, discount, and rating — to produce your ordering.

Personalisation only reorders and filters what we show you. It does not change any price, and it does not share your browsing behaviour with retailers or advertisers.

A deal you have marked with a thumbs down is removed from your personalised results.

Personalisation is optional. You choose whether to use it when you accept these terms, and you can turn it on or off at any time in your settings. Turning it off restores the standard ordering that every visitor sees. Depending on where you are, personalisation may be switched on for you by default — the choice is always presented to you before it takes effect, and declining it never restricts your use of the service. We will tell you why a particular item was surfaced to you if you ask, using the "why am I seeing this" control on the item.

If you are browsing without an account, we do not build a personalisation profile for you.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, bulk-download, or resell our listings or data. Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, access other users' accounts or data, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written permission.

Do not use the service to break the law, or to submit content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringing.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

7. Your data and your rights

We collect what we need to run the service: your account details, your wishlist and lists, your reactions, and — if you have enabled personalisation — a record of the deals and categories you interact with.

You can delete your account at any time. When you do, we delete your account and the personal data attached to it, including any personalisation profile we have built. Aggregate and anonymised statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.

You can turn off personalisation without deleting your account. You can also unsubscribe from deal-alert emails without deleting your account.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Service availability and changes

We provide the service "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will ask you to review and accept the updated terms the next time you use the service. Continuing to use ThinkOrSpend after that point means you accept the updated terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ThinkOrSpend is not liable for any loss arising from a purchase you make at a retailer, from a price or availability error in a listing, or from your reliance on any ranking, value indicator, or recommendation shown on the service.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
